Positioning a Midwest Firm as the Voice of 'Experience Design'
Dimensional Innovations
Challenge
Dimensional Innovations (DI) is a leading U.S. “experience design” firm, creating immersive environments for major brands and institutions nationwide. From sports stadiums to presidential libraries to hospital wings and museums, DI’s work shapes human experiences of all kinds. However, the firm was often left out of media coverage about its projects, as news stories focused on developers, architects or facility owners. To attract attention from reporters and stand out from the competition, DI badly needed a clear narrative and story.
Solution
Violet PR built a two-pronged strategy designed to elevate DI’s work: amplifying the firm’s most recent and compelling projects and highlighting the team’s deep bench of talented designers through Q&As, bylined articles and human-centered interviews.
Our team leveraged relationships with trade and national reporters across sectors critical to DI’s work (e.g., design, fabrication, exhibits, history, lifestyle/travel, business), raising awareness of the company across important target audiences.
One particularly robust PR campaign – launching DI’s unique design-build “immersive art experience” in Kansas City, named Atlas9 – led to earned media coverage in USA Today, Midwest Living, the Traveling with AAA Podcast and more.
