The Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) was in search of a way to generate attention as a clean energy manufacturing center. The economic development organization worked with Violet PR to execute an international media relations campaign that would position North Carolina as a prime location for green manufacturing.
Solution
Violet PR developed a comprehensive media relations plan to highlight big players that invested in the state, including Toyota, VinFast, Boom Supersonic and Forza.
The day Toyota announced an $8 billion expansion of its North Carolina electric vehicle manufacturing plant, Violet PR followed up with a news release highlighting the state’s benefits. The Violet PR team arranged interviews with EDPNC’s CEO Christopher Chung and reporters from Forbes, TechCrunch, Financial Times and the Associated Press – and garnered additional coverage in Yahoo!, ABC News, U.S. News & World Report, Quartz, Fortune, The Hill and numerous trade publications.
