Under the leadership of a new CEO, the Greater Baltimore Committee sought to help reshape external perceptions by elevating the city’s revitalization efforts, cultural assets, economic growth, and emerging opportunities.

Solution

To reposition Baltimore on the world stage, Violet PR partnered with the Greater Baltimore Committee to develop an earned media campaign focused on the city’s transformation and future growth. The campaign highlighted Baltimore’s economic development momentum, infrastructure investments, waterfront revitalization, housing initiatives, and thriving arts and culture scene through strategic storytelling and proactive media outreach. Violet PR secured opportunities with national, international, and trade media through in-market press tours, New York City desk-side meetings, executive interviews, and news-driven outreach tied to major announcements and community momentum milestones.

In the campaign’s first year, the campaign generated more than 60 earned media placements in outlets including USA Today, Bloomberg, CNN, NASDAQ, Urban Land magazine, Costar and Smart Cities Dive, elevating Baltimore’s reputation as a city of innovation, investment, and cultural energy.
