Arlington Economic Development sought to position itself as an up-and-coming tech hub and raise awareness for investment opportunities in the region. Violet PR was tasked with spreading the word nationally about Arlington’s growing tech ecosystem, driven by Amazon HQ2 and its ripple effect on attracting further investments and headquarters.
Solution
Violet PR first developed a comprehensive six-month public relations strategy for Arlington, which included detailed timelines, a list of target media, and more. We crafted a national press release to highlight Amazon’s significant investment in the region, developed media advisories and fact sheets, and compiled an extensive media list targeting top-tier and trade tech, business and workforce development outlets.
Violet PR also organized a New York City media tour, meeting with top-tier reporters from outlets like the Financial Times, Bloomberg and The Wall Street Journal to share exclusive insights into Arlington’s tech sector. We also arranged interviews for Arlington Economic Development leaders with publications like Technical.ly and CNBC.
