Challenge

Isaiah House, a nonprofit organization and homeless shelter in East Orange, N.J., enlisted Violet PR manage media relations for its “Sun Up 2021” event: a combined morning rave, meditation session, yoga class and dance party. The event was designed to create buzz around Isaiah House and its mission, as well as to attract donations for the shelter, which provides permanent lodging, food, social and financial services for families and individuals in need.

 

Solution

For this one-month project, Violet PR created a press release and media advisory that outlined the event details, how the funds would be used and the overall mission behind Isaiah House. Violet PR leveraged its regional media contacts to secure prominent press placements, promoting both the event and Isaiah House, in outlets such as NJ Monthly, NJ.com, Essex News Daily, ROI-NJ, Patch and Village Green. The event - attended by nearly 100 - raised $10,000 to support the nonprofit.
