ArtPride New Jersey Foundation and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts launched “Keep Jersey Arts Alive,” a digital campaign to build support for the state’s arts institutions during COVID-19. The campaign emphasizes the impact of the arts on New Jersey’s economy, generating $662M annually and fueling 22K jobs.
Violet PR was enlisted by Spark Creative Group to generate media coverage for the campaign, as the state’s arts and entertainment venues face continued economic hardship. Our messaging specifically targeted the state’s lawmakers, who will determine grant funding and other public assistance.
Solution
We first created a data-driven press release featuring prominent leaders in the arts and entertainment industry across N.J., accompanied by images. Ultimately, our campaign generated over 30 news stories in nearly every prominent N.J. regional news outlet, including NJ.com, the Asbury Park Press, NJ101.5 FM, WPHL-TV, KYW News Radio, Philly Voice, ROI-NJ.com, Insider NJ, the Newark Times, InFocus Visions Magazine, and more.
During the first month of the campaign, Violet PR generated 137 million online impressions, 538,000 estimated coverage views and over 400 social shares.
